Roto-Mix on Schedule with Expansion

Thursday, March 20, 2014

(Dodge City, KS)  Roto-Mix LLC, a leader in cattle feeding and mixing equipment, is on track with the expansion of its primary manufacturing facility located in Dodge City, Kansas.  The new, free standing 20,000 sq.ft., industrial building is being constructed adjacent to the existing service center.  The expansion will provide additional space for assembly operations and add 4 additional service bays.  Concurrently, Roto-Mix will update its paint operation with a new state-of-the-art paint line and additional paint booths.

JAG Construction is the general contractor on the project.  The project will be done in phases to allow manufacturing to continue with minimal impact on customers and dealers during construction.  While the unpredictable southwest Kansas weather has continued to be a challenge, the project remains largely on schedule.

To date, the footing and steel frame have been completed for the main building and the walls are being erected now, and the paint building and new paint system are on the way.

“This plant expansion will give us the ability to more than double our capacity as the demand for Roto-Mix products increases”, said Rod Neier, Roto-Mix CEO. “Our current plant, built in 1965, was designed for manufacturing feed mixers 12 to 14 feet in length. The new building will accommodate truck-mounted mixers with lengths of up 48 feet.”

The completion date for all phases of the project is estimated for late summer to early fall 2014.
