Dodge City and Ford County have both public and private options for primary and secondary education, as well as a community college and technology center for higher education.
Unified School District 443 (USD 443)
Primary and secondary education in Dodge City and Ford County is provided by USD 443. The school district's pre-kindergarten through 12th grade enrollment is almost 7,000 students each year. The school district includes one per-kindergarten early childhood education center with a Head Start program, nine elementary schools (K-5th), two middle schools (6th-8th), and one 6A high school (9th-12th). The school district recently implemented an iPad initiative that put 1,800 iPads into the hands of each student K-12 in January 2014.

USD 459 Bucklin Schools
"A House Full of Pride"
The Bucklin school system consits of Elementary (PK-5), Jr. High and High Shool (9-12). USD 459 offers the Eldon Fetter Scholarship to graduates of the Bucklin High School. With this scholarship the recipient is awarded $500 to be used towards a college or university.
Spearville School District(USD 381)
Spearville school system, K-12, is well known for its high academic and strong sporting activities. USD 381 has a student population of 354. Spearville High School is nearing completion of an $8.6 million expansion.
Sacred Heart Cathedral School (Pre-K-8)

Dodge City Community College
Dodge City Community College provides two-year academic and technical degree programs. The college is known for its nursing, construction technology, auto mechanics, welding, helicopter, lineman and food safety programs.
