Community Foundation of Southwest Kansas funds Paint Dodge
The Community Housing Association of Dodge City (CHAD) is pleased to announce that it has been awarded a grant from the Community Foundation of Southwest Kansas to support the continuation of the Paint Dodge program.
Paint Dodge, created in 2017, provides exterior painting assistance to low-income and elderly homeowners in Dodge City. The program revitalizes aging homes, enhances neighborhood appearance, and brings volunteers together to build community pride.
“We are incredibly grateful to the Community Foundation of Southwest Kansas for their continued investment in our community,” said Mollea Lightner, Assistant Director of Economic Development. “This funding ensures that Paint Dodge can continue serving homeowners who need a helping hand. With their support, we can purchase paint, supplies, and materials that allow volunteers to make a visible and lasting difference in our neighborhoods.”
The Paint Dodge program has supported over 70 homeowners since its launch and plays a key role in CHAD’s mission to improve housing conditions across the community. The new grant will expand program resources and allow more families to benefit in the coming year.
