Rodeo Hills Celebrates New Housing Development
The Dodge City/Ford County Development Corporation recently joined community members and local partners for the Rodeo Hills Subdivision Ribbon Cutting & Open House, celebrating another important addition to Dodge City’s growing housing inventory.
The event provided an opportunity to tour the new homes, learn more about the development, and recognize the partners who helped bring the project to fruition. Laguna Management Services was recognized for its role in the development and its investment in the Dodge City community.
Rodeo Hills includes 40 new affordable single-family rental homes supported through the Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) program administered by the Kansas Housing Resources Corporation. The three- and four-bedroom homes provide additional housing options for families in Dodge City.
The development also includes market-rate triplexes, adding another housing option to the neighborhood and helping serve households with a variety of housing needs and income levels. Together, the affordable single-family homes and market-rate units contribute to a more diverse housing inventory in Dodge City.
Rodeo Hills also utilizes a Reinvestment Housing Incentive District (RHID), an economic development tool that helps communities finance infrastructure necessary to support new residential development.
Projects like Rodeo Hills are an important part of Dodge City and Ford County’s continued efforts to expand housing choices for our workforce and families. New housing supports local employers, provides opportunities to welcome new residents, and helps position our community for continued growth.
Congratulations to Laguna Management Services and all of the partners involved in reaching this milestone. We look forward to seeing Rodeo Hills continue to grow and welcoming new families to Dodge City.
