Parks & Sports

There are over 20 parks and four athletic field complexes in Dodge City. Dodge City is also home to the Long Branch Lagoon. Open Memorial Day through Labor Day, the Long Branch Lagoon is the only western-inspired water park in the wild, wild west! Positioned in Wright Park and the downtown Heritage District, Long Branch Lagoon is close to the famed Boot Hill Museum, historic downtown, and the Santa Fe Depot. In 2016, which was the parks’ opening year, more than 80,000 were in attendance in the 83 days it was open.
